The 15th National Games of China solemnly opened on the evening of March 9th at the Guangdong Olympic Sports Center.

Chairman Xi Jiping attended the opening ceremony and declared the Games open. Themed "Realizing Dreams for the Future," this National Games is the first to be jointly hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, integrating elements of science, art, and sports to showcase the achievements of the Greater Bay Area's coordinated development.

At the opening ceremony, Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao jointly completed the flag-raising ceremony.

 

A stunning display of fireworks depicting kapok, bauhinia, and lotus flowers bloomed above the Guangdong Olympic Sports Center.
