A simple and refreshing cocktail with a floral fragrance. In this sparkling cocktail, you can smell the wonderful aroma of fresh lavender. Add a sugary rim to match the rich flavor in the drink.
For simple syrup, mix 1 1/2 cups of granulated sugar and 1 1/2 cups of water in a small saucepan. Heat to a boil, then cover the pot and cook for 2 minutes to completely dissolve the sugar. Let it cool, then pour it into a bottle. Refrigerate for up to several weeks.
You can use 1 (12 oz) container of frozen concentrated lemonade (undiluted) instead of simple syrup to save time.
Step 1: Mix 3 tablespoons of sparkling sugar, 1 teaspoon of dried lavender, and 1 teaspoon of chopped fresh lavender or mint leaves in a small shallow dish. Dip the edge of the fluted glass in water and then dip it into the sugar mixture to cover the edge. Let us stand up.
Step 1: Mix 3/4 cup simple syrup, 3/4 cup lemon juice, 1-1 ¼ cup rum, 2 lavender sprigs (or oil drops) and 2 cups of water in a pitcher. Refrigerate until very cold, at least 2 hours.
Step 2: When serving, stir the rum mixture. Fill the prepared glass ½ full with the rum mixture. Fill the glass with sparkling wine. Serve immediately.
